I would give 0 stars if I could.nnWe got off to a good start with relatively cordial, professional relations. However, after I made a noise complaint to them, things went completely downhill. They basically refused to enforce the quiet clause of their own lease and I've had to deal with excessive and repeated noise (which technically meets the legal definition of harassment) since I moved into my apartment in March. I've had to deal with the problem almost entirely on my own. The situation has gotten better, but the additional factors of quarantine and forced work-from-home have made it a nightmare.nnIn addition to all this, the property that my rental unit is located in is up for sale. The brokers who've been scheduling showings (although I think they're from a different company) have been incredibly rude and inconsiderate. They've insisted on scheduling in-person showings despite my request that they rely on a video walk-through given the fact that I have asthma (which places me at somewhat greater risk for contracting covid), as well as the fact that my apartment now doubles as my office and being interrupted by strangers entering my workspace is extremely disruptive and intrusive. They got in touch with Remax and apparently Remax told them that not giving them permission to do in-person showings was a violation of my lease and would be grounds for eviction (despite the eviction moratorium). The brokers have also requested showings at the last minute, well under the required 24-hour notice, and a neighbor reports that they've done showings without giving any notice at all.nnMoreover, I've had some incredibly rude interactions from Tami and Joe (especially Tami) in which they've made legal claims which I later found out were completely false. It seems, like most of the rental agencies in this town, that they are out to make a buck by taking advantage of presumably young, naive college students without having to enforce to their lease or provide even a modicum of respect or empathy for their tenants.nnDo not recommend.
I am a current renter of one of their properties. They responded astonishingly quickly to an issue I had with a door handle where my key wasn't working. Joe Pitzer (and the whole team) dropped everything to help me. The issue was resolved within an hour or so, and I am forever thankful. All of my correspondence with them (usually via email) has been professional, quick, and clear. Grateful for such a high quality team, and happy we extended our current lease. Thank you!
The rental application process was absolutely absurd. No wonder they have several listings that have been up for 40+ days. I have good credit, a good salary, no criminal past, and I'll be attending WSU as a fully-funded graduate student this fall. I sent bank statements proving my income. I even offered to pay a year-long lease upfront, but they refused. Like what? And still they needed phone calls from my employers and a co-signer. Eventually I told them enough is enough. Too many hoops to jump through. Every time I gave them the information they asked for, they'd tack on something else. I'm looking to rent elsewhere now. If this is how they treat prospective renters, God can only imagine after they've already taken your money.
Have both purchased a home through and engaged RE/MAX to manage a rental property in Pullman. Both have been overwhelmingly positive experiences. The agents and staff have been extremely helpful and professional. We received excellent advise throughout the home buying process and have never felt like we're under or over involved in the rental property. Happy to be doing business with them.
I've worked with RE/MAX Pullman both in selling homes and working on rental properties and I have to say that I have never had such an easy time communicating with people and getting things done.nnTami and Joe are so easy to talk to, communicative, and ready to solve any problem thrown at them. I have had to work with several different property managers in several states and hands down the best experience I've had is with RE/MAX Pullman. Especially considering the enormous challenge cut out for them in the home they were managing in the midst of a global pandemic!nnI would recommend them again and again. Thank you guys so much for helping me!
