Birch Hills Apartments

Staff is nice, maintenance is responsive.nnThe main issue, which based off of previous reviews has been an issue for some time, is parking. Some of the spots are small enough that you should expect to get a door ding from the next car if they’re not paying attention and finding a parking spot in general can be a challenge. Expect to have to park at another part of another part of the complex or on the street sometimes, though parking is much better in the summer when the students are gone.nnThe location is great and I’ve yet to have any issues with neighbors/noise.

This is a real nice quiet place to live and feels like living in an apartment both in town and the country as you can walk right up to the hill crest and watch the most incredible sunsets over town and there's a cool trail with a view of the mountains.nOne thing people don't realize is this is the perfect location for riding the bus as you get the best seats here because the bus is always the most empty at this stop. If you live closer to campus the seats are always filled up and you have to stand. They are all express routes here too so you get to campus in 10 minutes.nThe staff was always really helpful here as even the smallest thing would break and it would be fixed the same day if not the next day.

I have lived at Birch Hills for several years. I like the quiet location, away from campus. Neighbors are friendly and the staff has been attentive to anything I needed fixed.

Very disappointed with my rental experience here; I do have to say, before the bad experience I explain in this post is a positive shout-out for the maintenance team here. They will respond to maintenance request quickly and they have all been very friendly and offer advice on how to keep things running smoothly. No complaints with them.nnThe reason I have rated my living experience here so low starts with our fridge is turning off randomly, overheating the groceries inside. We have had this problem numerous times, starting last summer, and were told that we would receive a new fridge only to then be told the emails were lost as well as the repayment emails of our groceries were lost and there was nothing they could do. This is a brand new apartment that has the floor peeling in multiple spots, there are cracks in the wall, the moulding around the floor is lifting in certain corners. This is only a few examples of many with the poor quality and customer service of this place. I have never felt the need to make a bad review of anywhere I have been or stayed. Just want to make sure people understand what they are signing up for here, if you've even read this far. Also I don't want any Dabco PR person to right on here that they feel bad and they'll do what they can to fix this, heard that already, and nothing changes because the PR person who writes those comments has no pull to make change. (We received a new fridge the Monday after I made this post on Birch Hills Google review, months after we were told we would be receiving a new one).

While on the more expensive side for apartments in Pullman, I was very pleased with the experience. Management was always pleasant to deal with and maintenance was usually taken care of in a timely manner. Was very surprised to get all of the security deposit back minus a reasonable amount for cleaning. Apartments are a bit cheaply built (I was in a Phase 1 townhouse), but very clean and minimal issues aside from that. Parking lots are narrow and sometimes crowded, but I ended up renting a covered space to avoid overcrowding issues. Within walking distance of campus and being pet friendly, this apartment was hard to beat.
