The apartment looked beautiful when I moved in and the staff was very helpful and made the move in process easy.

Well, I lived for over a year in one of the apartments. These are nice units, but my problem was the level of noise in the building during the day (mostly on a weekend) and outside. It is College Hill afterwards. My unit was about half mile away from the Greek Row and some nights were much worse that others. However, the management would take care of any noise inside the building after 10:00pm. Other thing that I have noticed that manager on my complex changed three times when I was there. Last time it happened when I was subleasing my apartment. They dropped all paperwork and the transaction almost fell through the cracks. Well, they charge $200 per person when you need to get rid of the unit plus you need to find a person yourself. You can imagine my frustration. Much more annoying was that people would constantly try to take my paid assigned parking spot under the roof. And when you finally track then down instead of calling the manager and towing their car away, they still rude to you. If you are a student, it is right for you. If you're a professional like me, try to get an apartment in Churchill Downs - faculty and staff prefer to live there.

I would give this place a zero star if I could, it seems like every week something breaks in the apartment. The cabinets were poorly made and swing open on their own, and the oven doesn't open all the way because it hits the cabinets when they are completely closed. Our fridge stopped working and our food spoiled and they told us it was not their problem, I would highly recommend only living here if it was your last option. Even then I would consider living in a car or a cardboard box over this terrible place.

I have lived at Birch Hills for over 5 years and continue to enjoy living there. Things are fixed right away and the property is kept up nicely. Parking is tight, but parking is bad wherever you live on College Hill. Very quiet ~ Nice neighbors. The ladies in the office are always professional and helpful. If you are looking for a nice, pet friendly apartment, this is where you need to look!
