Just after the advent of mass-produced automobiles, engineers across the country got to work designing engines that ran on sources of energy other than gasoline.nnThe Marshal Steam Museum houses one of the country’s most complete and unique collections of antique and vintage cars, most of which are powered by steam engines and electric motors.nnIt’s a unique attraction that combines history, industry, and engineering. For many old-timers and classic car enthusiasts, their time spent on-site is truly a walk down Memory Lane.nnThe museum also features a scaled-down steam train that whisks visitors around the property on narrated tours.

Loved our visit. Lots of history and lots of fun!

A real gem! Prices mount to if you bring a bunch of adults, but kids' fares are more reasonable. Riding little trains is obviously the big attraction, but the open-air vintage electric/steam cars are fun too, and the little museum is full of cool stuff. My kids loved the coal-shoveling station. Free popcorn and cocoa (maybe just in October?), while supplies last.

What a cool spot! If your kids like trains they will enjoy the mini train rides. Fun for adults too!

Cool museum, very informative of the steam auto industry. The tour guide was not only enthusiastic about the tour, he was extremely well educated on the steam autos and owns one himself. We also toured the mansion, which was also very good.
