Such an exciting place to visit ! Went with the kids who loved the experience. We got to walk around the museum while waiting for our tournThe tours leave on the hour. There was a cools little train ride into the mine. We went in the summer but brought sweatshirts as it is between 49-53 deg inside. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and Interesting. Some of the material was a bit difficult to comprehend for the kids so I would have to explain to them in simple language. There were a few stops within the mine. The tour in the mine took one hour. Between the museum beforehand and taking pictures on the property after, spent close to two hours. Have never been inside a coal mine before so this was truly. Unique experience!
We had a great time on our tour. We had a mixed group with both adults and children and I think everyone had an equally great time. We had Kelly as our tour guide and her passion for the industry really shown through with the amount of knowledge she imparted on the tour. This is a great value tour and fun for the whole family. Take this tour and I hope that you get Kelly as your guide!
This place was great...loved the history of a real working mine. Our tour guide, Zack, was extremely knowledgeable. The kids really enjoyed it.
Love this place! The museum is great and their events are amazing.
