My hubby and I were playing Pokemon Go in Saxonburg today. This place is marked as a Gym, so we go there occasionally just to sit in the benches outside. Other than that, I've only ever visited Roebling Park to have picnics; I've never been in the museum. Today, we took a walk down there and decided we owed the museum a visit this time instead of just sitting outside of it.nnFirst of all, I have to say, I was impressed with how neat and tidy everything was. It was immaculate! The man, who I'm assuming runs and takes care of the place, was very kind. He was passionate about the history of this little town. There were things I discovered today that I've never known about, and I've lived in the area for a while now. The collection was vast, there was so much to look at that I may have to go back someday.nnCompletely worth it to donate to this cute little, (and obviously) well-loved museum. You can tell someone put their heart and soul into it. I think I needed this today. Thank you.
A nice place for this small towns history. Also, the displays are well laid out and take you back to the early modern era.
We attended the wedding in the back of the museum. It was a nice space and a nice wedding.

Cudoos to the knowledge of the volunteers!!! If anyone has memorabilia of Saxonburg please loan or donate to the museum. Please visit before they close for the season end of Aug. My 11 old grandson found it very interesting, we spent 2 hours learning the history!!!
