Giovanni's Pizza

I’ve been coming here for many years with no problem. But my husband and I were here last Friday for lunch and it was the worst experience ever!! We were told to sit anywhere then sat down and was rudely told to move to a smaller table so she could use it for a bigger group. Which no one ever sat there and there were other 4 seat tables. The waitress never asked what size drink we wanted just brought larges, we ordered then she brought utensils and dropped them on the table. Another couple came and got their same order before us and got small drinks. Still waiting for our food the waitress went and SAT DOWN with other patrons chatting for awhile FINALLY they called her from the back and she got up stopped at a few tables on her way and eventually got our food and brought it and quickly walked away. I had asked for a side of mayonnaise which she hadn’t brought and I tried to get her attention but she ignored me fortunately another server came over and asked if i needed anything and got it for me. Then I went to pay and a guy WITH NO MASK on had come in to meet another patron then I saw him back behind where the food was open etc. UNBELIEVABLE with Covid I don’t care who he was he had No business back there with out a mask!! I sent a message to them over this whole experience and they apparently don’t care!! On top of it we both got very sick on it my husband couldn’t even finis his pizza nor could I finish my hamburger! I/we will NEVER go back again! Don’t know what happened to that place but the waitress was horrible as well as the food and the NO mask was unreal!!

I hate to do this because I had really high hopes for this place... My bf and I have been bedridden for 3 days the pain was unreal!nnI've had food poisoning before and this was the worst I've ever had... The pizza was a bit suspicions once I opened it but the presentation seemed okay.nnMy bf recovered quicker and thought maybe it was something else and ate the left overs and is now back in pain with the same symptoms..nnI think it was an issue with the the layered vegetables on the pizza. The broccoli wasn't cut either full 5 inches long stems that were kind of soggy and chewy rather than crunchy. The whole thing just wasn't a very appetizing meal unfortunately...nnMy hope is that this is a one off situation because we carefully read the reviews and they all seemed great. I hope this is possible feedback that seems more productive than accusatory.

Very busy night, was very clear that the organization was lacking behind the counter. Luckily I got there well after I placed the order so I didn't wait long. Ordered shrimp fettuccine alfredo with garlic knots, and brocolli cheddar soup. Soup was very bland, so I spiced it up when I got home. Alfredo sauce was 80% oil rather than cream, also needed some spicing up. Garlic knots were delicious!nnWould go back but probably just for pizza.

Giovanni's is our go-to Italian restaurant for lunch and dinner. Lunch today was an amazing cheese hoagie, and Brooklyn pizza. Fantastic! Service and staff are awesome.

The food was Amazing the staff is nice and helpful ( I had a lot on my mind when I went in so eating was not a must do for me but husband forced me as I hadn't eaten since breakfast the daybefor it took me some time to figure out something to eat) our waitress help me decide on the stuffed shells my husband got a sandwich and we split the meals. You wont be disappointed.
