Tyrone Station

Never had to wait more than 15 minutes.nTake it frequently to NYC.. to visit my son and family, on Long Island. Laid back atmosphere, of course that’s what Tyrone is!nI choose this over Altoona because of location I can walk easily to it.Also, no checked luggage!

Sitting on an incredibly delayed train...Amtrak knew of the upcoming situation and never informed us which would have allowed us to make alternate plans.nTaking a bus seems more desirable, always late...

Unfortunately there isn’t much to say; this is a glorified bus stop. Not even a nice one at that, there’s graffiti inside. Hopefully it’s not crowded and you will have a place to stay dry. If all else fails, there is a pay phone next to the shelter. You can call the person that was supposed to be there to pick you up. If they don’t answer you can walk over to the history museum that everyone thinks is the station.

Quiet place, not good frequency for public transport.
