Can't believe I grew up here and never visited Berks History Center until now. Highly recommend checking it out. It's loaded with recognizable Berks Country brands, names, and history which makes me proud to be from Berks. Admission is $7 for adults. They close pretty early by 3pm.
Lots of interesting history. Fun hands on play area for children.
If you're looking to do research on your family in Berks county this is the go-to place. Give a call ahead of time as to what you're interested in and Lisa Adam's and her team will have prepared materials waiting for you when you get there. Everyone was so wonderfully helpful.
Catered a private birthday party here a few weeks ago.nI would highly recommend visiting the Berks History Center as it is a treasure-trove of wonderful collections of local artifacts! They were highlighting WW1 when we were there and the role Berks County veterans played in it.
My son's kindergarten class visited Berks History Center on a field trip and I was able to attend to help. The tour was just the right length for the kids and they LOVED the hands on room filled with old fashioned toys and clothes and such.
