Couldn't get in due to PA governor Wolf's foolishness.
I would recommend this tour to everyone. The ingenuity of people is remarkable. While the history portion is very interesting and the guides were very informative, as a teacher, the critical thinking and problem solving skills of the Gruber family has me amazed. Taking this tour is a step back in time, not only because of the equipment and restoration, but also because of the detail. Boxes of screws used in the process are still on shelves on the walls.
I understand this is a “historical park” but why on earth do not allow dogs on the trail?
Very open and laid back, beautiful scenery
