Website not up to date with current or monthly events. Hard to find information on upcoming monthly activities. When does 5th grade basketball start? Not user friendly. Fliers are being sent home week of events for example Hawks volleyball camp. Difficult to plan accordingly.

My family and I moved here from Phoenix, az in 1991 but I was in 6th so I went to Sager. My nephew started school at Davis a couple years later from Kinder on. My son, daughter, and nephew all began Davis in Kinder only my son went to a different school as he went into walla walla. Another nephew also went to Davis, and he issued with authority figures, violent behaviours, according to other schools in cali and oregon. When he went to Davis he got back into liking school, he would get himself ready and off to school on his own before we realized, and would come home with other kids and play for hours because most his school work was done already. Mahor changes, Instead of dismissing the promblem child, or punishing maladaptive behaviour the teachers, counselor, principal and myself communicated constantly and we praised the positive behaviors he was doing, like reading aloud and keeping answers neat instead of rushing, he then did those regular and would improve something else as though seeing if we would notivce and we would praise or note the improvement and he improves so much rhar within the month he was happy, helping teacher and other students, even cleaning classroom, having positive relations with students and staff including authority so much that he ws getting the positive classroom reward (gold slip) enough that he was making crafts weekly with the counselor. He was only in Davis for 6 months but it was the best school he went to. He has been removed from general education by WWPS and placed in special education and lost over a year of classroom bookwork to spend an hour a day drawing trucks at the district office which was maintaining his education. Davis and the CPPS may not have the financial backing of a larger city to fund the essential school supplies, maintenance, and improvements needed for a school but the staff goes above and beyond being creative thrifty and tenacious getting supplies, cutting costs, goung without, and finding necessary supplies for the stufents. And they still have great one on one relations with the students and know each one by name, likes and dislikes.
