My family and I are relocating from Philly and are new to the Highlands of Montour Run. Just wanted to leave a review about how wonderful our experience has been. Working with Gia was such a pleasure. Friendly, accommodating, and professional from beginning to end. She made the process of applying and securing our unit easy and efficient. The rental office staff, including Rosemary are so great and helpful. Coming from NY and Philly where landlords do the bare minimum and charge a premium, it's so refreshing to find an apartment community where the managers and owners provide tenants with value, convenience, and great amenities. Our unit is amazing. So far we could not be happier with our choice and hope to be residents at the Highlands at Montour Run for years to come!
I was in need of a place immediately but only for a short term rental. I found this apartment on the apartments.com website and requested information only and stated My immediate need in the comment box. I was greeted by a very friendly phone call from a staff member named Gia Inviting me to take a look. Just with one phone call with her, I hung up thinking that this woman was a powerhouse pro and I wouldn’t mind having her on my own team at my work. :) Gia was there to guide me through the entire process and Really pulled through for me which I’m sure came with the behind the scenes struggles of their own on her part. She was REAL, funny, supportive and good at her job. The entire office staff at The Highlands of Montour Run quickly turned around a same day viewing of the apartment, all utility/rental insurance transferred & lease documentation completed as well as the key to my new place. I moved in same day which is what I needed. When I got in to my place, it was clean and smelled fresh. No marks on the walls or any of the other disgusting things I had seen at other apartment complexes. So far, I am happy and impressed. The people I live around who have greeted me thus far have been friendly and quick to engage in a neighborly conversation but I also appreciate that people like to mind their business. The neighborhood is quiet but each unit is spread out with a lot of space which I like. I enjoy my privacy. The breezeways to each apartment door is open and outdoor which I also have come to GREATLY appreciate. When the neighbors were cooking....in other non affiliated apartment complexes....I hated smelling the food down the hall... the neighbors were kind enough to point me in the right direction or explain the rules of the neighborhood. After being in my place for 2 days, I had a leak under my sink. I wasn’t quite sure where it was coming from yet, so I wanted to figure that out before I called mainentance. However, the next morning I met a gentlemen in the breezeway named Fernando, the maintenance supervisor. He went above and beyond by introducing himself and asked if everything was good in my apartment. I mentioned the leak but was unsure of where it was coming from. He said he would take care of it. I had paperwork I needed to turn in to get my mailbox key at the office so I also mentioned it to Gia. Gia submitted the formal maintenance request. She also requested that he call me so I can explain. I did give my permission to enter. Fernando handled the service request respectfully and was very courteous. He contacted me by phone and he asked when I would be home. I ended up being out later than I thought so I had told him to just go ahead in. He called me back with good news that the issue was resolved. Today, I learned that the reserved spots are paid spots....meanwhile I thought they were for people moving in or unloading...ha...but I really didn’t have much time in the process to learn all of the rules so I am learning as I go. I still am unsure of where the mailboxes are even though it might have been explained to me. The last few days have been a blur but one thing for sure is that I am very relieved to have worked with the team here at The Highlands. I am home.
I had initially written a 4 star review after being impressed with how smooth our vacating process was. That was until we got charged extra rent for “staying” an extra 3 days (never happened) and our deposit wasn’t returned with no explanations. Management has changed since we moved in and can’t say for the better

I would like to give a special thanks to the Highlands of Montour RunTeam! I would recommend anyone to lease here. You wouldn't regret your decision. I can't thank Karen enough for her phenomenal leadership skills and the high standards and expectations she has set for the success of the team. Also, to ensure a quality living environment and pleasant experience for all residents. There wasn't a time that a repair wasn't promptly addressed by the maintenance team (James and Bryant). Snow removal and salted parking lots /hills were always addressed in a timey manner. Routine safety/appliance inspections. Meet and greet events (Poolside and Holiday Partes), restaurant outings, charity events were great and essential to allow residents to connect with one another and promote a more family oriented environment. Sabryna, Rosemary, and Gia often went above and beyond through patience, alternative, and unwavering professionalism to ensure resident satisfaction. Derek has a heart of gold. He is extremely passionate about what he does. He is indeed an great asset to Morgan Properties. Overall they truly care and it's easily detectable. Team keep up the good work.
