I’m only giving this 4 stars because we needed to get out of our lease earlier than the 12 months, and the reason we moved into the apartment was we were able to break our lease and only pay an additional one months rent. When we broke our lease, they made us pay TWO months rent. A “term fee”. And it was NEVER mentioned in our lease. So that was extremely frustrating. And during the lockdown, our ac broke and we called maintenance, and no one ever came to fix it for 3 weeks until 1 week exactly prior to us moving out. Aside those two faults, we enjoyed the place a lot. The location was excellent! But the walls are extremely thin and you can hear the people next door and ABOVE was the worst! But the price is right for the square footage!

I lived at Hickory Hills for over 2 years and was very pleased with the complex and community. The leasing staff is very friendly and understanding and the maintenance is always timely. My one suggestion is to find a better solution to the garbage which often overflows. If I did not have to relocate, I would have stayed at Hickory Hills. I highly recommend the property to those looking for a quiet, secluded, and central place to live. Thank you, Hickory Hills for making my time here home.

Very bad service staff. I lived here for 10 months. My house has been leaking. I complained 5 times. No one helped me with the problem for 6 months and my refrigeration system didn't work. I chose to leave early because of these issues but was fined $ 1000. This is a very bad place, DO NOT LIVE HERE! !! !!

These are great apartments in a great area and awesome school district. I hardly ever need any maintenance, but the maintenance and office staff are always friendly and quick to respond to any issues. I have loved my time here and will absolutely recommend it to anyone and everyone! My husband and I are still young-ish and we love how close we are to the city (about a 20 minute, easy drive). We can quickly get downtown to meet friends for a bite or drink. I also love not living directly in the city. Wexford is great for young working professionals. We are close to everything and there is great shopping (Ross Park Mall is just minutes away). In sum:nThe neighborhood is one of the most desirable in north Pittsburgh and the school district is top rated.nThe maintenance (though hardly needed) is quick and efficient .nThe staff is super helpful and always reachable.nSafety is never an issue; the community is in a very safe area.nThe grounds are always kept up with and well manicured.nNo noise issues (I have great neighbors).nnMy husband and I highly recommend Hickory Hills!

DO NOT LIVE HERE. I have not lived here 3 months yet, and within 2 and a half weeks my air conditioning unit failed in the middle of August. Twice on a Friday and I was told I had to wait until Monday for anything to be done because it was not an emergency. The following week it went out again and it took 3 days to fix. Hickory Hills and Deerfield Management did absolutely nothing to accommodate me or show that they cared one bit, especially for being a brand new resident. I was given attitude when pleading to get better service and help from the maintenance staff. Somebody came into my apartment without me knowing and without my consent and made things worse, adjusted the knobs in my shower, left it a wreck, only made the problem WORSE. I STILL have MULTIPLE issues that have not yet been addressed and nobody seems to care whatsoever. Nobody is helpful, nobody is courteous or caring in any way other than collecting an overpriced rent. The worst part is that nobody even cares enough to give me a response. An absolutely horrific experience and nightmare of a community to be living in.
