Neat stop before North Park!
I was pleasantly surprised how interested my kids were. We came for the Western Pennsylvania Model Railroad Museum traveling railroad exhibit which really held their interest. They also really liked the classroom corner with pencils and notepads. I was fascinated by the Harmony trolley line which used to connect Pittsburgh and New Castle and never knew existed until today. Wish that was still here! Everyone that a big surprise when we rang the trolley bell, and everyone realized they should give it a try too and came over. We also learned that an elementary school near us burned down in 1960, very interesting. Lots of old school yearbooks too, so plenty to look at. It was definitely an hour well spent!
What a charming museum with very interesting special exhibits.
This is a new museum which has been in the works for a long time. It's a great collection of items related to the area. The grand opening was very nice.
A great place to walk around the lake.
