I had a very pleasant experience living on Phillips Avenue. The apartment was roomy and located in a very convenient part of the neighborhood. As a student at CMU, I was able to get to public transportation easily (also just a 15 minute bicycle ride to campus). Very convenient to go shopping or dining out in the location. Quiet and well-maintained building. Friendly and responsive (and responsible) landlord! Highly recommended!

My family and myself lived at the 2 bedroom apartment at 2421 Beechwood blvd for the past 8 months. The location is excellent and very close to the Frick park. The neighborhood is very safe which is characteristic of squirrel hill.nAaron, our landlord was wonderful and took care of all of our needs in a very timely manner. Overall we had a great experience living there. Highly recommend this company.

Great location. Convenient to all essentials. Aaron, the landlord, is responsive, kind, and extremely professional. I loved the apartment too. I had to leave for more space closer to work. Otherwise I’d still be there. Can’t say enough.

I had a great experience renting two different apartments from them. Both apartments are quiet, well-maintained and located conveniently near bus stops, grocery stores, restaurants, etc. The landlord, Aaron, is trustworthy and responsive. He is also super helpful and friendly. I am grateful that Aaron was willing to rent without me visiting in person. I would highly recommend Squirrel Hill Flats to anyone, especially graduate students and professionals who need to commute to CMU/Pitt to work.

UPDATE: Aaron reached out to me and resolved our dispute by reimbursing the expense. I appreciate his responsiveness and his willingness to resolve issues even after 5 years. I have revised my rating to reflect this.nnAlso, a few tips:n-Aaron is willing to rent to people who cannot visit in person.n-Aaron says most units have had their floors replaced, so carpet cleaning shouldn't be a problem in the future.n-When comparing rent, you should simply add the $145 for gas/heat/water as part of the rent, since it is fixed.nn------nnI rented at 6350 Forward 2015-2016. While the tenancy was fine, there was a minor dispute about moving out and carpet cleaning, which I arranged, but was also charged for.
