A hidden gem of a museum only 25 minutes from Pittsburgh. If you are interested in computing history you need to make an appointment and visit. These aren’t just broken relics, most of the machines are in running order that you can experience. Ask to see the upstairs as well, which contains an archive of iconic personal computers including many of the earliest Macs, NEXT, etc.

Great place to see the devices of computer history from telatype machine to PDPs to Cray's and mainframes. The guys who run it have an amazing amount of knowledge about the machines, how they were used, and where they fit in computing history. but you really need a guided tour since most of the devices have poor or no signage. Most of their devices are operational, so you can actually sit down and use them, if you know how.

Absolutely outstanding museum. They're open by appointment and don't charge admission but appreciate donations. The museum is kept running entirely by the volunteer staff, who obtain the artifacts and maintain the building on their own. All the staff are extremely knowledgeable, and can talk to any extend about all their equipment. The museum is constantly being expanded. Beyond the mainframe systems, they also have an extensive PC & Apple museum upstairs. This museum is absolutely worth a trip.

If computers appeal to you, by all means visit this place. The collection is fantastic and it contains a huge number of items that you won't be able to see anywhere else. Not to mention the enthusiastic crew of volunteers who will passionately provide you with stories and details about the history of computing! I shall return!
