This place exceeded expectations! Very very cool to see and learn about the long history of photography. Great tour from the gentleman giving the tour... Sorry I forget his name. Extremely knowledgeable and preached l personable! Highly recommend you to stop by and check it out if you're in Pittsburgh... And even if your not really into photography!

The photo museum was alot bigger than what I was expecting. There is so much to see here. I would recommend going back a second time to make sure you see everything. The exhibits change as their collection grows and they are always adding new pieces. I loved the 3D photos and the Polaroid collection. The tour guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. A great experience that I look forward to doing again.

We showed up without a reservation and the owner promptly took us up for a guided tour. We thought we were just going to walk around looking at old photos and cameras, but we got a history of photography, cameras, and video cameras.nnWe got a history of how the developing process evolved and how some glass plates were colored by hand.nnThis is a must for anyone who appreciates photography and history. This will also give you an appreciation for what it used to take to make a photograph.
