The Fort Pitt Museum is a quaint experience with a great deal of detail of the early history of Pittsburgh and the Ohio country. The exhibits are thorough in their description of the interactions between Native Americans, British, French, and American Colonials. The underlying economic and political currents are very interesting, especially in regards to land speculation of the Ohio Company and its investors which included George Washington.
Wonderful place! A very educational museum, I really enjoyed it! Really interesting exhibitions, excellent details of the history of Fort Pitt. Highly recommended to visit, my tears were falling down with the sad history of our Native Americans. Objects, paintings, installations everything it's very interesting and it's affordable and great price.
Small museum of 2 floors but good details on history of fort Pitt and Pittsburgh.. worth a visit with family.. entrance is 8$ per person... covid update: they are letting in limited people and maintaining proper sanitation...
Native Americans, French, British, Colonists Long ago the four nations lived in harmony but everything changed when the British attacked. Only the Avatar master of all four elements could stop them. But when the world needed him most he vanished. Years past and me and my brother discovered the new Avatar. A colonist named George Washington. Tho his leadership was great he still had a lot to learn. But i think he can save the world. Excellent place with great information. Highly suggest it! 10/10 will go back!!- Katara probably and me!
This seemed more like an art museum. It tells you about the history which is cool, but there is not many artifacts. Instead it tries to recreate how you would envision the past. Now I do recommended visiting the little house that is infront of it. That is more historically relative and accurate than the history in the museum.
