Great place to visit for an authentic trip back to the 19th century. Tour guides were very knowledgeable and had lots of interesting facts. Recommended for anyone with an interest in history.

If you are a history buff and would like to see a historic house this would be the place in Pittsburgh. I watch and learn a lot about history, however, I was pleased by the knowledge of the tour guide and her knowledge of the 19th century and the customs of the times.nnThe house is decorated and dressed as it would have been at the time the pictures furniture and all of the dressings. I was and always am impressed when I go back to the house and this year we are going to the Christmas candle light tour.nnThe house is going to be prepared and ready for the holidays I can't wait I have been told how the house is decorated and prepared for show during the hilodays.nnIf you ever want to feel like you are in the 19th century for an hour or so this is the place for you. The house is in a quaint city called Oakmont and they value the historic properties and feel. This house is a place to visit and this city is a place to live.nnWhen you stop I hope to meet you and I hope you share the experience.
