City of Olympia Police

They were very gentle when they handcuffed and tazed me, and the patrol cars are very comfy and spacious. Overall, very professional. 10/10 would get arrested by them again.

The police want to clean up Olympia but need the backing of the people. We need to stop the extremists from running the city any further down the tube. Next time you see a cop thank them.

I had the wonderful experience of conversing with a few gentlemen officers this evening. Not only do they epitomize professionalism, but it's clearly apparent from their demeanor that their sincere endeavor is to protect and serve their community. In spite of the the (unfortunate) circumstances that warranted our discourse, I am grateful to have met a group of fine individuals that serve our city. I wish I could have gotten their names. I would like to bestow public recognition to the men who are so deserving of such.nRegardless, thank you. You know who you are.

Pride and power, not to protect and to serve. Please record them and send it to The Olympian, they are refusing to use body cams. Dishonest police work is a problem that has just recently been highlighted by journalists because of body cams. If people who were with you were middle-age, they will record them as young adults if it better fits a narrative. If you said “yes” to a question, they may report “no”. If you feel like you’re being unfairly charged, or the prosecutor is giving you a hard time, comb through the police report. There’s a chance the OPD is the villain. African Americans of course know this, but in my experience white people arent safe either. They may not murder you or beat you like they do black people, or their wives (40% of families with police officers have issues with domestic violence), but they will lie. Work culture is dark, gloomy, nihilistic, and a lot of drudgery. Tribe mentality before ethics and law. One of their officers is being investigated for shooting two unarmed young black men TWELVE TIMES for shoplifting alcohol. Public execution by the government is not proper punishment for petty theft. An older woman's abusive ex-boyfriend, who had a criminal record, was ordered by the court to have his guns taken away after he threatened her. Police neglected to take action. He later shot and killed her. These are ignorant and immoral men (I say men because most of them are, officers and the hiring process have been well documented to be sexist), they deserve no respect from citizens.
