Friendly staff and really enjoyed the scavenger hunt. Spent close to two hours exploring. There are always reenactments happening in the side yard. Very informational.

Place was awesome , a lot of time and energy has been spent to preserve this place .It's a time capsule every one should check out. It has a really fun quiz/scavenger hunt which kept my kids attention and taught them about the civil war. The staff was helpful and freindly.thank you

Interesting display from a civilian standpoint and the house is beautiful. It was fun being able to get some hands-on experience as well as talk with period dressed soldiers and women. I very much enjoyed speaking with a lady that was making lace, such an intricate and fascinating art form! And can't beat that it is all free, worth a visit!

Free admission, perfect for children of all ages! Children can interact with the staff and touch EVERYTHING! It's a hands on experience and touching is encouraged. The staff is so amazing, really helpful, and fun to talk to! Lots to learn, a definite to do with small children!
