Davidson Mesa Open Space Dog Off-leash area

The wind farm should've been a tip off. High winds blow in every direction. No shade. Not even a stick. The majority of the trail is under powerlines. The turn around is at the highway. The sound of traffic is never far away. It's a good connector to the other more scenic trails in the area, but on its own, pretty unimpressive.

My favorite dog park of all time almost didn’t lost to keep it a secret.

Come for your dogs. Stay for the views. Sunset is magical. It gets extremely muddy when it rains or the snow melts. Please pick up after your dogs so that the neighbors don't get this park shut down.

This is one of the absoulte best dog parks I have ever been to, and is my go to spot to take my dog to play, who absolutely loves the openness of the park. The grounds are extremely well maintained, and the views of the mountains cannot be paralleled anywhere. The majestic background combined with the large stretch of land and wide walking path creates a truly stunning place to bring your dog to romp around.

Amazing place to take your pets. Gorgeous views. Large area. Nice people.
