Thuy's Nails & Spa

I honestly don't understand how this place has exclusively 5 star ratings. My friend and I went here two days ago and it was not a good time. When we came in, there were two people working and one of them seemed immediately aggravated by our being there- there were no other customers, so they weren't busy, and it wasn't near closing time. We were polite, but we hadn't even been there long enough to be impolite. We just went in their for a manicure with gel nails, nothing fancy and we were both anxious and shy/quiet. My nails were done by the aggravated person and my friends nails were done by another employee. Said friends nails were better painted, but mine were very messy, my cuticles were painted over (which I have never had happen to me when getting my nails done), the whole thing was way more painful than normal, and both of them did the hand massage thing without asking first (also never had that happen before) and ended up repeatedly dislocating both of our fingers in the process. Generally throughout I got the vibe that they didn't want us there and I feel like I paid $30 to get hurt. Huge waste of money.nnAlso,my friend and I started talking part way through to distract from the pain and awkwardness, and around the time that we were talking about us being gay/trans and our friends being gay/trans, they started talking to each other hushed in another language. This could've been nothing, but I'm warning anyways.nnOh and it's two days later and my nail polish is already coming off. I can't attach a picture directly to my review, but I did post a picture - mine are the red nails.

I love this salon and the women who work there. They are very accommodating to my work schedule and make it easy for me to schedule appointments. I regularly come to Thuy's Nails & Spa for pedicures and manicures. The acrylic nail set I got yesterday is the best set I've ever had (I attached a photo) and I've been going to various salons over MANY years in different cities. Thuy's is the best!

Friendly, clean and great service

I went here the other day to get acrylics done and the lady who worked there was super sweet and she did an amazing job!

Always makes me feel pampered!
