Excellent preschool. The teachers are innovative and kind. I recommend Slater preschool without reservation. It is not our home school, but we may choice in for elementary school, based on the preschool experience.
Absolutely horrible school. I pulled my kid from this school and so did my baby sitter. These other comments must be school employees. 1/3 of the school is truant. The teachers are horrible the good ones leave almost immediately. I've seen it with multiple teachers. This school also had to send out notification that it may get closed down due to low scores and attendance......yet they refuse to see how they have anything to do with the problem. They allow other kids to physically bully other children. My sisters kid had a note sent home on kindergarten asking the parents to tell their 5 year olds to stop cursing at her and disrespecting her. I will be the biggest fan when this school is shut down!!
I went to school there from 1968 to 1975 I grew up on Estes Street just a block west of there Carl Edward Smith was our principal it was a good school and a great place to grow up
We like here, good public school compere to other schools in this area.
Principal Schrant has been awesome to work with. The teachers we've had for my three kids have been stern but kind, thorough, and excel at comunicating my children's progress or dificulties. I've had the joy of experiencing multiple field trips and outings and always go home impressed. I feel like the entire staff has consistently shown their commitment and dedication to my children's education.
