Royal Gorge Route Railroad

This trip is kinda cool, just wish it was a bit longer though. They did a LOT right though. The way they're handling business during the pandemic was well handled. They had everyone spread out well in the seats. The crew was all really great. Our server, I think her name was Michaela, (forgive me if I'm wrong!) was SUPER awesome. Very friendly, went above and beyond to find a kids collectors cup rather than just saying that they were out of them, she went and searched the entire train for one, and when she didn't find one, she made up for it with another cup. Can't thank her enough. She alone is the reason this place gets four stars. Everything else was fine. The train was comfy, the food was actually good, and the views were cool. I would have appreciated a longer trip though. The overall trip lasted about 2 hours, and 40 minutes of it was spent sitting in one place.

Such an excellent experience! By far the highlight of our entire trip! The food we got was excellent the scenery was breathtaking, and learning about the history of the gorge was also very interesting. I recommend this train ride to anyone without hesitation!

Great thing to do!

Totally worth the price! We came in from Houston for my sister's birthday weekend. I couldn't decide whether or not to do the train since we rode one the previous month in TX and it was just ok. We arrived an hour ahead to pickup tickets. Due to covid-19 my group of 6 weren't sorted together, but the nice guy at the counter upgraded us so we could be together! We go on the train and we're immediately helped to our seats. The nice waiter took our order and suggested we head to the open air car while it was empty. He then came to get us when our breakfast was ready. The views were breath taking! We took so many photos and regretted our mother couldn't make the trip because she would have loved it. We were always well attended by the staff. I definitely recommend taking a ride!

My wife and I had a great time. Beautiful scenery, friendly staff, and great food. I would definitely recommend paying a little extra for the first class tickets. Fabulous experience
