Although I live in TN, my two daughters, each in their own Lafayette homes, have individually had an experience having to call on the Lafayette Police and/or First Responders. I can affirm the Police, Fire and/or EMT responded with prompt professional action and with a most positive outcome. Living halfway across the country, I am comforted to know that my ladies live in a wonderful community with such great protection. Thank you Lafayette Police, Fire and EMT Departments!

I've called upon the Lafayette Police several times in the past three+ years via the non-emergency number. Most recently, today.They are always quick to respond even when the county department is having to help due to many calls. Their followup (when necessary) is also quick and thorough. Every officer, except one, has been cordial, informative, and professional. The one truly wasn't misbehaved or unprofessional. I've been surprised more than once by how kind our officers are, including today. On that note, thank you, Officer Trujillo. And thank you to all officers and support staff for keeping us safe and honest.

A car in the town of Lafayette can be stolen very easily by someone saying that they’re going to repossess the car and use the address in which the cars at and calls that into the dispatcher and is told that the car will be at any address in the US and there is no verification by the police department or the dispatcher and the only way that they will get concerned is if the bank that holds the loan calls them and tells them that it was stolen and the time course for that could be a week or a month. By that time the car is broken down into parts and sold.

I have been harrassed by the lafayette police just for walking my dog at 4AM when I called them for help they threatened me and officer graebel and Sedgwick were unprofessional violated my constitutional rights and civil liberties I tried to make a complaint and was threatened try to leave a voice mail for the chief of police and am hung up on I'm going to talk with an attorney now
