My wife and I had our first date at Ras Kassa's 25 years ago and it's still as delicious as ever!
Always a treat! Best service and food, dishes that one craves. Boulder lost out big time when Ras Kassa's moved, but I am happy to go wherever the restaurant goes because it's that amazing. The feast for two ( veggie and omnivore options both) are an amazing deal and the best way to sample this wonderful cuisine.
The fact that this is the only Ethiopian restaurant in Lafayette aside, it's phenomenal. I'm used to hole in the wall Ethiopian places that mainly serve takeout and this is luxurious compared to that. They have beer, wine and cocktails that I assume are pretty authentic - the Ethiopian honey wine was new to me and is a less sweet and syrupy version of mead.nMost of all, I love that I can come here and get a huge platter of deliciousness. Lots of meat and veggies that are well-spiced with copious amounts of injera (teff bread that's kind of like a sourdough crepe). If that sounds appealing, you should check this spot out!
