Dutch Creek Elementary School

So far my kids are having a great experience at Dutch Creek. The teachers and staff have been excellent. The facility is well maintained. My kids are quite happy here.

We had a terrible experience with Dutch Creek. My son is special needs and requires a bit of extra attention and patience. This is the 3rd elementary school we have attended and have never experienced problems with any other school.nI took the time to personally meet with everyone who would be working with my son, providing them with all the same information regarding my sons glasses and not wearing them outside. They decided to hold their own meeting, after I left, and said he should have his glasses on at all times. My son never developed the reflex to catch himself when he falls, therefore always lands on his face. Two days later, he fell on the ice outside and landed on his face, causing his glasses to break and tear through the skin on his face, requiring stitches. This is one of many instances where they chose not to listen to me and it directly affected my son.nOver the course of the next 3 years, he sustained many injuries at Dutch Creek. Mrs Robin Beers was also not a good fit for him, we ended up having her for two years, consecutively, as she moved up in grades. I protested several times to have him moved to another teacher. He came home crying several times due to her verbal abuse. CPS and the police were called on me, several times, for supposedly abusing my son, when, in fact the ONLY abuse he has ever received was while in the care of Dutch Creek. Mrs Robin Beers gave him the advise to run away from home. What an absolutely terrible awful thing to say to a child. I never received an apology from the school, but I did receive apologies from the police and CPS for the schools continued harassment.nI will be following up with the department of education as there simply isn't enough room to detail how badly they treated my son, who is kind, caring, helpful, loving child.

Great School! Both my children have been here since kindergarten. We have great relationships with the staff. Personal support as well as academic.

Well, to start off I was confused the whole time I went there. Because of all the spiders there, they had to call poison control many times and I think it got to my head. That whole school is full of snots and I had to deal with them. I think the rules need to be better because on times this kid just left and no one cared. Shout out to Mrs.Maremo I think that's how to spell it. You were a pretty good teacher. I thnik that's all noe.
