Still waiting for over an hour and a half now for an officer to show up to take a report on my stolen vehicle. I just need to go to work!nnUpdates: waited for 7 hours after calling every so often to check in and was given the run around every time. I eventually had to go in to file a report because it was clear they weren’t coming. They are practically useless.
I am Political Science College Student from Denver, and I received the pleasure of going on a ride along--- to observe the department and meet some of the Officers. The Officers were the most kind and professional people I have ever met. Denver is in great hands.
I entrusted my range rover with a mechanics garage a block from my home and I had business out of the country for two weeks then a surgery on my kidneys and when I finally went to pick up my car it was missing the garage would not give me the name of company they use to tow or confirm or deny if it was even towed. The police put it in the system stolen after researching if they followed the law and lawfully towed it which they did not. My car has bit been found but now my attorney and insurance agency and bank can go after the garage come Tuesday.
District 6 has looked professional and courteous from our vantage point many times. It's a challenging district with substance abuse, bars, homelessness, tourism, and mixed zoning. Not an easy area to cover. Officers have acted in a level-headed manner many times with escalated citizens in 611.
