Police explorer program is awesome. They offer ride alongs and are very well trained.
In 1989 I was a security guard at Exxon building near Hillcrest and Wilbur. I think now its BOA building. After Exxon Valdez Spilled oil in Alaska, Exxon hired extra security for their buildings due to some buildings being vandalized. My job was to guard the outside of the building from my car. The Police came and saw me sitting in the center of the parking lot, doing my job, guarding the building from vandalism. They asked what I was doing and I told them I was working. They then searched my car for Cocaine, which I had never done. They tore everything out of my car, including back seat. Then just left a big mess for me to clean up. I was on private property, in a uniform, with a radio and security badge. I should have filed a complaint at the time but being 18 I didn't. I thought they went to the point of harassment! And of course after tearing apart my car they didn't find any drugs or anything else.
As anyone knows who have dealt with these police departments in Ventura county they very well know the corrupt tactics they use and how above the law they think they are! And it is sad that they now are using Heather Locklear as a pawn to make it look like she is the bad guy. I don't know her nor know the situation but at her size hard to believe she assaulted officers and if she did she was most likely Provoked! Read the reviews people wake up! They give the innocent tickets for anything, like honking, window tint even breathing wrong! Be careful wherever you go and if anyone calls the police on you record everything on your phone!!! Please!! Bad bad corrupt city and police departments!!!!
A false police report was filed on my boyfriend and I. Never able to get a copy of it, even with an attorney subpoena! The guy that did this was never punished. They protect criminals!
