I used to live in Simi Valley in mid 80's. I currently live in Memphis TN. area but miss California and those days very much. I'm so saddened to hear that one of your administrators died along with many others when she visited Las Vegas to see a country music concert. She seemed to be a very nice person. My condolences..it's a shame.
This school contains one of the concentrations of high performing students that would perform well at most schools due to higher parent involvement. It is NOT a charter school, it has the same curriculum as every other elementary school in Simi Valley. It is a factory type environment with high pressure and stress that is very obvious in that no one, not teachers nor students are happy. I trusted my instincts and pulled my child out of this school. My child's attitude toward school changed for the better once we were out of there.
Beautiful school, one of the best elementary schools in Simi. It's a Charter school. You have to submit an application and be put on a waiting list.
Remember Mrs. Smith (office manager). She was killed in the Las Vegas shooting. #RememberLasVegas
