The Great Valley Museum is a family-friendly museum in Modesto. Several exhibits feature various artefacts and even some live animals.nnPermanent exhibits include The Native Californian, which showcases artefacts from various indigenous cultures of the region, and Science on a Sphere, which features a floating sphere that projects real-time weather.nnA planetarium is located right next to the museum, and many events take place throughout the year. Group tours are available.
Great little museum with excellent presentation of area wildlife. Diorama displays show both backyard birds and wilderness animals we almost never see. Wonderful place to take your kids to show them how important it is to protect our environment. Everyone can benefit for an hour looking at these displays. Very highly recommended.
Great displays. It cost $4 to get in but it's a bargain!
My 5 yr old nephew enjoyed it so much. Everyone on staff was super friendly and assisted him with all of his questions. Will highly recommend.
Really cool exhibits, cool artifacts and there are buttons that give you an experience of what the animals sound like and an idea of their real habitats
