I loved my first visit to this museum. I took a three kids of friends on an outing to give expose them to local history.nnIronically, there were two exhibits that took me down my own memory lane! I used to walk five miles between Camp Nahelu and the A&W in Ortonville, Michigan with my cabinmates once every summer. That was a huge treat!nnAlso, I happen to be from Dayton, Ohio.
Fascinating. A well run and organized history of Oakdale, CA. This is a great place to get a glimpse into life of yesteryear housed in a house well over a hundred years old.
We decided to take a side tour and found this place. It doesn't take long to go through it, and it is free. Interesting to see some of the history of Oakdale. The docent that was working there was very friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend checking this place out.
Lots of old photos of pioneer people, buildings. Also interesting collection of old pianos, record players, kitchen items, school desks, items, old photos of schools.
