Easy to catch the trains
These are pictures of the train museum near the Santa Clara University Amtrak station. It is open on Tuesday evenings and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is free and open to the public. It's a fun place to take kids to help get them interested in model trains. It's also a great place for people to hang out and today there was a group of musicians that had gathered to play and sing together.
Station is pretty decent for a unstaffed station. I heard that VTA is planning a people mover to replace the VTA shuttle buses from the airport to here( Santa clara caltrain station when I mean here). Make sure you stay behind the yellow line! Caltrain bullet trains and a few Caltrain limited trains thunder by at 79 mph!
Convenient Station with connectivity towards SF and Sacramento routes, and southern routes.nnEasy access to Starbucks as well.
