Ok, if you give the wrong name and birthdate, Officer Silva will beat you up but only if you're handicapped or a woman. He can't take a full size man. He's just a wee lass.nThis guy's poor wife, battered and beaten regularly. Just take a look at her hospital records. So sad.......

LGPD does not get enough credit. I've lived in LG for about 20 years, enough time to bump into many of the officers – they are always friendly, polite and make me feel like I'm welcome.nnOne officer, Calipo, would occasionally park near my kids' bus stop to make sure people are obeying traffic laws. He would chat with parents about making the school commute safer.nnI also know Jackie in the office personally (after many years of dealing with parking permits!). She is friendly, efficient and an all-around helpful person.nnJust now I just got off the phone with the LG Police office after calling in possible gun shot sounds. (They were fireworks). It is just nice to have a local police department that picks up the phone and tells you what is going on.nnI felt compelled to write this review after seeing a series of recent negative reviews. Even if one officer had an incident of misconduct (before he was with LGPD), it should not reflect on the overall reputation of the LG Police. They have done a great job protecting the town of Los Gatos, creating a friendly and welcoming town culture and I support them entirely.nnI am not affiliated with LGPD in any way, other than being a resident and paying them annually for my LG parking permit.

i cannot believe this department would hire someone like johnathon silva. he beat up a mentally ill man just because he wouldn’t give his name. he was not putting anyone’s life in danger and showed no sign of aggression. this has got to stop. he will lose your department another $950,000 dollars and you guys won’t be able to get any new uniforms or equipment. just say no to people like Johnathon silva
