Nice Home Depot location. Shelves are nicely organized and isles were clear. It wasn't too hard to find associates when needing to ask questions.
They sold me something they don't even have. Got a team member to get it and they don't have any. Why would the system let them sell something they don't have. Then put me in a long line to give me the refund. Way too long to spend at a store I don't even want to be at. Terrible customer service. Brian was the only knowledgeable one.
Every Home Depot has good and bad things in each department. This one is very good for building supplies, fasteners and electronics. The tools section is pretty good, but I wish they had some higher quality hand tools and plumbing supplies, like OSH had.
This location on Hillsdale Ave. in San Jose can be hit or miss as far as service is concerned. I've been here a few times over the years. Just this past Saturday I purchased some blinds from this store and requested the clerk to cut them to my spec. He said he was afraid they would chip the edge to cut to my spec. and suggested that I should remeasure to trim more and come back. I returned today and a different clerk was able to meet my original requirements with no problem.
Called to see if I could purchase an air purifier over the phone. Cass helped me purchase the last two in the store and was very helpful with explaining what to expect via square footage. Very thankful for her amazing customer service during these smokey times. You go girl!
