Millbrae

Opinion of a French traveler : Milbrae station forms the junction between the terminus of the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) network and the Caltrain network which serves San Francisco. The architecture of the building is interesting; the signage of the two railway networks is clear and the passage from one to the other is done without difficulty.

Connections between BART and Caltrain are not the best. The ECR bus doesn’t come directly to the station. The station itself is aesthetically pleasing and has sufficient escalators, elevators, and ticket machines. Somewhat disappointing for such a major transit interchange.

Before you leave your vehicle in the parking structure, make sure to write your parking spot number. I didn't see these signs anywhere until I got to the station and I had to head back.

Here you can catch Caltrain South to San Jose or North to San Francisco, or BART to SFO, San Francisco, and the east bay. There are also several different buses that stop here going other nearby destinations.
