I called the police after having to discharge a firearm as a last resort to defend myself from a charging Pit Bull, and I admit I was nervous, not knowing exactly how the conversation with the cop was going to go. The officer that came on scene was impressively courteous, personable, he was calm and focused, and perfectly professional. The whole ordeal left me with a positive impression of the Marysville PD. Since then, I've also been pleased to see a fairly high police presence as I'm out and about in town. Seems like we're in good hands here. Thanks for all you do officers. I appreciate your service.

Jail cells are small, beds are very uncomfortable, jail uniforms look like they came from the 50's, customer service is horrible. Would not recommend going to jail, 2 out 10.

Definitely works out of their jurisdiction. Officer D. Adams # 0159 of mpd.... is a family friend of the complaining party. The complaining party’s step dad asked me if I knew officer Adams his good friend a year prior when I first met the step dad because I told them my dad was a cop. Officer Adams wrote a completely bias police report for their family friend with no probable cause. My house was in island county hours away and officer Adams of mpd pulled through a favor for the step dad by meeting him at his house in snohomish county to take a report. Officer Adams did not sign the witness statement he submitted to IC that was dated 8/23/18 but the actual personal report he filed was signed by officer Adams on 9/24/18. The Alleged incident took place on 9/24 but the officer took a report that was dated from a month prior on 8/23?? Sounds like premeditated and a frame up? Officer Adams took illegal fabricated evidence which was 100% scripted from the jealous party’s complaint. He also did not investigate at all. I was in a completely different county hours away and the girl he wrote a report for, admitted to the prosecutor on a recorded line that she recorded someone in a private bedroom without their knowledge. Isn’t that a felony with the Washington wiretap laws? Before she called the police on the way home to her house she called another female to get her story straight and figure out what she was going to say. Sounds like conspiracy to me. A person should not be thrown in jail because of some unethical police officer writing a report for his female family friends. With out doing any investigation into the family friend. When come to find out, the girl admitted to stealing my passwords to log in to my accounts, spoofing pretending to be me on social media, all my personal info stolen. The real domestic abuse that no one takes seriously is how much this girl put into setting me up and stalking me. Thanks officer A. For doing things ethically per your professional standards. You deserve a gold star for police officer of the year. Officer D. Adams #0159 thanks for doing favors for family friends and not upholding the professional standards of your department.

Works out of their jurisdiction with no evidence to back up what they are doing they make their own laws they need to be corrected immediately!

This is an absolutely unsafe place to be if you are a domestic violence victim. The police will help your abuser every chance they get and they WILL put you in danger.nnDet. Chris Jones will give your abuser your address, even if you are enrolled in the ACP, then blame you for his inability to comply with the law.nnOfficer Paxton will advise your abuser to keep your children away from you in violation of a court order. They will not take a custodial interference complaint because they’ll support the law-breaking cop.nnSgt. Vermeulen will refer you for prosecution if you complain about any of this. And get bent out of shape if you say they a crooked cops.nnThe city attorney supports the police in all of this. Run, run, run. It is not safe and the police will not help you.
