On 2/26/20 we found two intruders in our home and after running them off called 911. Within minutes we had an air unit above the neighborhood, an unmarked car patrolling, and two additional units on scene. The officers were professional, courteous, and informative. Very impressive response for which I am grateful.

I drove down from Utah on Friday night to pick up my sister from a domestic violence situation and called asking for a police officer to show up because my sisters husband threatened to kill me if I came down and the lady who took the call said she’d send someone right away. I got there at 11:08 pm and waited 38 minutes before deciding I wouldn’t wait any longer. We planned to drive straight back through the night and I needed to give her enough time to grab her stuff before her husband showed back up. I’m sorry but that is NOT acceptable. Had her husband been there and was actively hurting her that is more than enough time to kill her. The cops take less than 5 mins to respond to a domestic violence call where I live. After packing it was closer to an hour before we left and still no sign of an officer. That’s not okay and you guys really need to be better.

It's my personal belief, HPD provides appropriate service to the City of Hemet. The administration, detectives, patrol officer's and more; give so much of themselves to our community each and everyday, while on the job.
