The museum definitely passed my expectations. It was very professionally presented and organized. It tells a very compelling story, and I really enjoyed and appreciated the engagement from the staff (particularly, our trip was guided by Scott). This is a gem of a site in Delta. I will definitely be going back because we had not allocated enough time to take in the whole thing. You could surely spend several hours there taking in the story, looking at the artifacts, and learning a ton about a big historical mistake for us not ever to repeat.
Japanese Internment was not a topic I knew a lot about. This museum did an amazing job of educating me! The displays are extremely well done. This museum might be in a small town, but it is something that could rival big town museums in its quality and thoroughness.
Jane one of the workers from the museum met us at the museum and showed us the actual interment camp. I wish the museum was open to see the inside.
The museum is so well put together, and the tour guides are so knowledgeable. If you're passing through Delta, I highly recommend you stop and learn about this history!
Awesome display of a significant historical event that is not very well known. So thankful for all of the work and donated items from so many great people. Most overlooked may be those soldiers that served in the military that held them captive before they would serve . Thank you! FREEDOM.
