Smart Home Investments came out and gave me an estimate on a new roof. We signed a contract and I thought everything was good to go. I got a loan for the amount that had been quoted and a start date. Well they were supposed to come out and take a final measurement for the amount of materials they would need to complete the job, for 2 weeks they kept changing the day. So I get a phone call saying that they'll be out in the morning so I wait and nobody shows so I call the head guy in charge of the roofers and he tells me that they had come the day before (not knowing that the roofers had called me the evening before) and tells me that they had screwed up on the estimate and it was going to cost me $4000.00 more. On top of the extra cost he tells me that he's new to the management position and the roofers they had been using for sometime was not properly licensed and bonded and the new roofers was the reason for the price difference but if I wanted to go to the County and pull my own permit he'd give me the names of the roofers they had been using and that way I could pay the original quote. This is the worst Company I've ever dealt with nobody has a clue who's doing what and when they're supposed to do it, and a signed contract means nothing. Needless to say I found a Reliable and Reputable Company Mountain Roofing System out of Placerville and they stepped in and stepped up and are going to replace my roof for what I was supposed to pay for in the beginning. Mountain Roofing System is ran by 2 Brothers that have worked in the industry for over 30 years so if you're looking for someone to replace your roof I'd call them first and save yourself a huge headache.
