A big Big shout out to Nevada City PD. We had taken a short over night trip to Tahoe National Forrest. On way back we drove thru the beautiful little town of Nevada City. Enjoyed a short walk around, then started our journey homeward. I had an issue with my rental car dash lights and stopped to adjust. A police car turned behind me just after and continued on after stopping at intersection.nWe were a little turned around-continued on- we were trying to find road I came into town on, I-80 and then lights flashed to pull me over. As anyone I started wondering if I’d missed a stop or some such-nThen Officer walked up to car.nShe was bright and smiling and explained before I could say much that my car lights were not on !nI must have turned off when adjusted dash. She reached in a flipped switch on for me ! I was so grateful ! Then she gave me directions to freeway and we shared a moment with her of how much we had enjoyed our little trip. She was very pleasant and a great representative for the little town of Nevada City California. 10/25/18 approx 8pm Sorry, Did not catch her name -

The Nevada Police Department supports theft from tourists in the hotels and motels in town. I had over $2000 in property stolen by the Manager and employees of the Nevada City Inn during my stay there, and this department is unable to effectuate an investigation. What utter horse plop...

This department has the best officers .I wish I could sit down with them or visit their office to let them realize that's how we feel .
