Ruston Police Department

Coming home from work from Pt D to Seattle I was pulled over in Ruston. I really had no idea why until the officer came to my window. He claimed I failed to stop at a stop sign. I figured this is what most cops do to find dui’s or whatever on a Saturday night. 30 minutes later I receive a 136 ticket.nnLook man, I’m coming home from 10 hr shift at midnight on a Saturday. It was obvious. I still had all my work clothes on. That ticket cost me more than half of my pay for that day. I’m not endangering anyone. I’m not reckless driving. I’m obviously sober. 136$ for not stopping at a stop sign is not protecting and serving the public. It’s robbery, plain and simple. He took money from me cause he had a gun and badge and had authority to do so.nnI will take this to court just out of principal. I like to see proof that I really did commit the infraction. I don’t believe I did. Officer Shawn Hoey and his department is a disgrace. He should be ashamed of himself. Hope you sleep well at night in Ruston. Merry Christmas.

Officers don't understand the traffic laws they enforce or let you finish talking when they ask you questions. Rude and ignorant are not words I'd prefer to use for police, but Ruston officers deserve to be called both.

Rude really unprofessional. Cops need more schooling, would love for them to know the law and common decency. Called the office sent to voice mail. I guess our taxes pay them for nothing really.

Just witnesses an on-duty police officer texting and driving. Our tax dollars at work!
