Steilacoom Public Safety

Don't drive through here if you are not white or do not have a nice car, especially at night. They follow you all over town. Happened again this morning going to work. Feeling threatened since moving here from out of state. Same small town police prejudice as back home.

It is faster and safer to walk through steilacoom than to drive and risk a ticket from the revenue takers!

ZERO presence at the public parking area near the ferries. However, they sit on Steilacoom BLVD and have only pulled over 2-3 vehicles in the last 4 years I have lived here.nnLoud music from cars are not controlled in a residential area. Drunks have crashed into public areas around the parking lot. Trash is left everywhere in the parking lot. Complaints are not taken seriously by the town administration or the police department. Public and DHSH employees are allowed to break noise ordinances every single day and traiffic safety at all hours of the day.nnPatrol the parking area and not just Steilacoom BLVD!!! I have rarely seen a patrol car anywhere near the parking area! There is a stopped train at the moment and there is no police presence where there is high levels of public traffic on weekends!nnPATHETIC!
