I was attending another nail salon in the area, but noticed they started doing a poor job on my acrylics. I gave Avatar a try and was very impressed with their acrylic and spa pedicure work! I felt taken care of the whole time, not rushed even though they had quite a bit of people. I called for an appointment and they took me right in no waiting. My full set coffin nails are clean, beautifully cut and polished neatly. Can’t wait to start returning for more designs especially for the holidays ❤ufe0f

I have been here 3 times so far. I liked the pedicure but the last 2 full sets I got have been mediocre. I feel like its a rush to get people in and out quick so sometimes the work just isn't polished. First set I got, I specifically said I wanted the old acrylics tips removed, they did not remove them fully and left it on but I let it slide(my fault), they turned out okay but they were very thick and glob like in shape.nSecond time I get a set, I asked for the old acrylic tips to be fully removed and they did that perfectly, my issue is the French tip I got is very crooked, globby and uneven. The skin colored part of the French tip looks wavy on both sides of my nails like my nail beds are not even. I'm just really not satisfied. Multiple places I've been around South hill have disappointed.nI still give 3 star because I do believe it just depends on the nail tech/artist and maybe I just got unlucky. If you go here you really have to hound them to not be sloppy or really watch and make sure everything is up to your standard before actually walking out. I walked out with out saying more because I was already so specific and I just knew there was no fixing it especially after the crooked globby french tip was already curing, I was already in there almost 2 hours anyways..didn't want to wait another 30 min and they were filling up with customers.

This place is everything!!!! So polite and professional and the atmosphere is so inviting everyone is very nice and helpful. I brought my mother in law with me and she was having a very bad day. She lost someone close to her and the young man who helped her had her laughing the whole time he really helped her and I’m so grateful for that! My nail tech was the business she was fast funny and gentle I’ve never seen someone work quickly without hurting me or cutting me but this woman has skill I’m telling you you have to come here!

Have gone here a few times over the year with the first manicurist being careful with mani & pedi along with nail art. The other have cut my toes a couple of times while doing my pedicure. They have the best nail art and range of designs out of many salons that I have tried. But it would depend if you have a nail technician who wants to give you what you want or not try to rush things to make mistakes.nnThe last time I went, three people had to work on my nails because they said that they were rushing and they needed help with a butterfly nail design. The salon still had more time as it was still open and they were taking in new clients as I was leaving. I ended up with two different sets of nails at the end. My manicurist did not want to remove all of my regular clear polish on my natural nails before doing my gel mani. The polish chipped within a couple of days and then the whole nail polish was peeling off of my nails within 4 days.nnWhen I was able to go back to get them redone, the man doing my nails was not happy, but did a much better job with my nails. He would not file all of my nails even and got mad when I corrected him on a couple of them. He was not in the mood to design my nails and was trying to convince me to put on a decal instead so I had to ask him to do another design as he was rushing. There were still empty chairs within the salon. Two of my nails were still sharp and the glitter polish was not cleaned off the edges of my fingers when I noticed as I got home.nnThe other time, the three people left polish on different areas of my hands, fingers, and toes. They too left sharp edges from the gel after it was cured. The manicurist did not remove all of my cuticles. The pedicurist did not do a full pedicure either.nnIf you want unique nails, you can get them here, BUT you may risk your money on an incomplete mani and/or pedi. Three stars for my first visit having done an exceptional job on my nails and taking care of me. Another time, my pedicurist did an amazing job on my feet minus the cut on one of my toes.

I always make an appointment. And the last three appointments have lasted 2-3 hours. This is not ok and really is poor service. You need to work on managing your times better and not accept walk-ins when you know you have THREE people coming in for a pedicure and full sets at 1130. People make appointments usually because they only have so much time to do something before having to go back to work. I couldn't even get my full-service today. My appointment was at 1130 I didn't even have someone working on my pedicure until 12pm! The water was freezing it is just not right. You charge so much for services you would expect to be taken care of. I used to refer people to you guys but will no longer do that. I am so disappointed what I thought was a good nail salon has turned into like all the others.
