WATCH OUT ROAD TRIPPERS COMING FROM ZION AND BRYCE VIA ROUTE 89 TO I70 Utah Highway Patrol only pulls over out of state vehicles. Multiple speed traps. Officer Bob Johnson, badge 169, from Richfield UT Highway Patrol office likes to make illegal u-turns when traveling West on I70 to chase an Ohio license plate traveling East on I70 and ticket them. When I stopped I was on the Exit ramp to Sevier UT where there's a Carl's Jr and gas station. He did not turn on his lights until after I had exited the freeway and was in no violation of the law. When questioned as to how he was able to clock me from the West bound lane, he first lied and said he was posted there in the median. I have a human witness. When I reiterated that he illegally made a u-turn to chase me and we watched him do it, he said 'well how else do you think I'm going to catch you?' That is profiling. That is discrimination. That is illegal. Oh, and thank you for holding me for your supposed 8 mph over the speed limit reading. I have diarrhea (which I explained to Bob) and managed to soil myself and vehicle. After cleaning up, we returned to I70 Eastbound and found that every vehicle pulled over to the Colorado border we not from Utah. UHP gave 14 tickets to people from Iowa, Ohio, California, Illinois, Texas, N Carolina, Massachusetts and Georgia.
