Such a gem of a little museum we have here in the Harbor! Love the history behind our little town
The Harbor History Museum is quite a gem. I was impressed with how put-together the museum was. They had nicely designed exhibits and really explained the history of Gig Harbor and the surrounding area with good detail and interesting historical artifacts. There were some very interesting artifacts from when the Tacoma Narrows Bridge fell in particular. I would not hesitate to return the next time I’m in Gig Harbor.
Great place. I volunteer there 6-8hrs per week
This is a great little (free) museum. Funded by the city and donations the staff/ volunteers were very friendly. You can learn about Gig Harbor and the surrounding area history from native use to modern of Gig Harbor. We found the old schoolhouse and active boat restoration with people working on it to be very cool as well.
