one of the better schools in an already outstanding school district, shelyn is a great institution. their GATE program is stellar, their teachers are all caring and go above and beyond the call of duty. they also have a robotics program for upper graders. the principal definitely has a good vision

I am an 8th grader in Alvarado Intermediate School, and I went to Shelyn Elementary School! It was an amazing experience! Loved all my teachers from grade 1 to 6, even the teachers I didn't have!nList of teachers I had from 1st Grade to 6th Grade:nMs. CorreanMs. HondanMs. BlacknMs. SiedleckinMs. JimnMr. OldfieldnMr. Oldfield was a very good teacher! I think I liked him the most out of the other teachers. I'm not saying that I don't like the other teachers, but I'm just saying that I like him as a 6th grade teacher! The way he teaches is just very enthusiastic! Before school is dismissed for Summer Vacation, 6th graders have a party! In my 6th grade year, we voted on the Celebrity Party or something like that, and it was so much fun! I was really hoping on the masquerade party, but this was also just as much fun!nOverall, this school is amazing! The teachers, parties, events, and fundraising! What more do we need from this school!!!n(To all my teachers who had me, I hope you see this and I send this post with lots of love!!!!)

Very good school, the Chinese teacher there is my favorite teacher, if you have just arrived in Los Angeles, I suggest you come to this school!
