Honestly, I loved my experience here. I've learned so much from this school (including how to learn Spanish). The playground has always constantly gone under construction every few years, but as a child I had so much learning there. The school has been around for a 150 years, so I'm sure they know what they're doing with that much experience. The teachers are amazing, the campus is wonderful with tons of murals, and overall it's excellent.

Honestly, speaking as a la ballona alumni it is such a great school the academics are great and they do a very good job of making me feel accepting me when I was going through a very tough time

Can’t even afford to clean the restrooms. Children deserve better.

I just read that little Norma Jean Baker went to this elementary school from 1931 to 1932 she was better known to the world as Marilyn Monroe this was one of the 1st schools she went to she also went to Vine Street Elementary school as well from 1932 to 1934 since she moved around a lot that make sense.
