U guys r the best, u keep this city safe.
Most Horrible Police Dept ive ever dealt with. i have never been in trouble with the law. i was discriminated against for being LGBT and arrested when the person attacked me and they were the aggressor. they arrested both, but the Detective Banks only contacted them and not me. case was dropped and i was never given any information on how to press charges. absolutely horrible. will be obtaining an attorney to sue.
This is a very disappointing police department. These officers unfortunately are not helpful and give you very vague answers, in fact you may not get an appropriate answer to your questions at all. They seem very disinterested in assisting the public. It is very frustrating when you are already dealing with a stressful crime situation. After all isn't that what they are there for? To protect and to serve? They never answer there phones. In fact I was told by a watch commander there that the officers who answer the phones are clerks. Well then they need to go work at the clerks office. Good luck with getting any type of public service from this department because it will be slim to none.

Have been trying to get through to them for 3 days now to file a police report for some things I had stolen in front of my apartment. Automated system just sends you in circles and anyone I get through to just puts me on hold or routes me to another department that doesn't pick up. Nice to know that my tax dollars are hard at work being swallowed up by the trite, bureaucratic process that is the law enforcement community in this city. You'd think for all the bad PR this department has had over the course of this year they'd care more about actually presenting themselves as functional and accessible to the citizenry.
